Water Treatment Plant Operator

If you are, The Benton Washington Regional Public Water Authority has an open position for a Water Treatment Plant Operator Position. This position is for a NIGHT OPERATOR position working 12 hour shifts from 7 PM until 7 AM. Weekly work shifts are either 36 or 48 hour weeks, with 8 hours overtime on the 48 hour weeks, plus a night shift differential for all night shift work. Starting pay ranges from $16.00 per hour ($37,720 annually) to $25.50 per hour ($59,784.annually) depending on experience in water treatment plant operations and level of Arkansas Dept of Health Certification currently in possession. (Arkansas ADOH Grade 4 Treatment and Grade 4 Distribution licenses are required to obtain Water Treatment Operator III Level) However, appropriate paid licensing training will be provided to the applicant once hired if needed. Minimum requirements are that the applicant be a minimum of 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or equivalent, be able to work outdoors in all conditions, climb stairs and ladders, and be able to pay attention to details and changing work conditions. Benefits start after 30 days on the job and include medical,(employees pay 24% of premium) Company paid vision, dental and life insurances, as well as paid vacation and sick leave. Employees are also eligible to participate in the retirement plan after 1 year of employment with 6% match, and, after 1 year of employment, employees are eligible for up to $1,500 per semester in tuition assistance if they want to further their knowledge base within this industry which includes both college coursework and vocational training.
