General Description of Position: Performs a wide variety of responsible and complex administrative support for the Farmington Police Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Answer telephone and direct calls to appropriate department. 2. Greet and assist residents/customers at the front desk by helping them or directing them to appropriate departments. 3. Perform general administrative support as needed to others. 4. Utilize applicable computer software to prepare correspondence, reports, etc. with minimal direction. 5. Perform general office tasks such as copying, faxing, etc. 6. Successfully meet deadlines and follow written and oral instructions. 7. Travel for continuing education that may require overnight stay. 8. Work independently, but also be a team with co-workers and be able to multi-task. 9. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. 10. Pay attention to details. 11. Attendance is expected.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Organization and multitasking are required. Must be able to pass a background check. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school or equivalent. (Pay would be commensurate with education and experience.)
