MAINTENANCE WORKER

PARKS (TEMPORARY MAINTENANCE) 2022

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour (20 hours per week)
City of Farmington - Farmington Parks and

Recreation/Farmington Sports Complex

PARK MAINTENANCE ASSIGNMENT:
1.Provide good customer service to both internal and external
customers, maintain positive and effective working relation-
ships with other City employees (especially members of his or
her own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is
non-disruptive.
2.Provide labor to assist all areas of the division as assigned.
3.Operate mowers, weed eaters, blowers and other small en-
gine equipment.
4.Clean restrooms as assigned.
5.Perform physical labor including using a shovel, rake and
other various hand tools.
6.Pick up litter from complex and surrounding trails.
7.Clean shop and storage areas.
8.Prepare ball fields for play (Including mowing, weed eating,
and infield grooming, chalking and painting.)

Minimum Qualifications
1.No prior training or experience is required. Prefer six months
of related experience.
2.Must successfully pass a criminal background check, includ-
ing but not limited to convictions, guilty pleas, or no contest
pleas to violent offenses, theft offenses, offenses against chil-
dren, and any offense that would qualify to prevent a person
from obtaining an Arkansas teaching certificate (A.C.A.
6-17-410).
3.Effectively communicate with others orally and in writing.
4.Must be proficient in the use of various hand tools.
5.While performing the functions of this job, the employee regu-
larly is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is regu-
larly required to use hands to work with hand tools; reach with
hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or
crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50
pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
6.While performing the functions of this job, the employee are
regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious
places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals;
outside weather conditions and risk of vibration. The noise level
in the work environment is usually loud.
