Office Clerk
The Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette has an immediate opening for an Office Clerk in our Fayetteville office. Responsibilities include data entry. Successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and customer service. Excel and 10-key expertise are a must. Must be fully vaccinated by date of hire. Accommodations considered.
Summary/Objective
The Office Clerk performs accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of customer transactions.
Essential Functions
• Maintains databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed
• Communicates with customers and interdepartmental employees
• Records and tracks payments
• Updates client accounts based on payment or contact information
• Prints/Scans/E-mails/Faxes documents
• Picks up and sorts mail
• Prepares daily bank deposit
• Communicates with customers and respond to inquiries
• Prepares manual invoices when required
• Prepares supporting documents for billing purposes
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
• Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time 40 hours M -F position
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
• Clerical: 1 year (Preferred)
• Organization
• Basic computer skills
• Microsoft Excel
• 10 key calculator by touch
• Data entry skills
• Attention to detail
• Verbal and written communication
• General math skills
