Reporter
The River Valley Democrat-Gazette is seeking a reporter prepared to cover a lively city in the thriving region of Fort Smith.
We are a digital-first newsroom that prides itself on watchdog journalism and on telling the stories that are important to our readers and communities.
The right candidate for this position is comfortable with social media, video, audio, and podcasting. The person will cover meetings and events, enterprise reporting, and other duties as assigned.
A degree in journalism or a related field is preferred, as is at least one year of experience at a collegiate or professional newspaper or online publication.
Knowledge of basic journalistic writing and AP style is a must. The position is generally Monday through Friday and requires nighttime work and occasional weekend assignments.
