Northwest Arkansas (NWA) Media has an opening for an entry-level reporter for the Siloam Springs Herald Leader, a weekly publication. The right candidate for this position will develop sources, engage community leaders, and be willing to learn. The reporter will cover education and general assignments, as well as some other duties as assigned. This person will also develop features to give our readers a sense of the people and places that make Siloam Springs a special place.

We’re looking for a reporter who can tell stories on multiple platforms and is comfortable on social media. The position requires night and occasional weekend work and answers to the Siloam Springs Herald Leader editor. Working knowledge of the AP style and principles of journalism is also required. Experience at a college or weekly publication is a plus, but other relevant experience will be considered.
