Embroidery Production Machine Operator 2nd Shift

Embroidery Production (Levels 1-6)
Position Summary

ALL Embroidery Production positions require the following duties/skills:
- Must be able to work with little absenteeism and available for overtime as needed.
- Performs other responsibilities that may be assigned

Quality Control/Trim – Level 1
A QC/Trim is responsible for reviewing caps post-production to ensure logos meet quality standards. Will also trim foam and threads for final packaging; or will recommend rework.
- Inspect finished or partially finished embroidery logos and headwear for defects damage, and repair.
- Examines for irregularities, like faulty coloring, shaping, centering, and stitching.
- Must have a high attention to detail.
- Follow all special instructions on the work order.
- Removes embroidery backing from headwear.
- Trimming excess threads from the embroidered logos.
- Removes spots or stains from headwear.
- Rejects or returns damaged or faulty embroidery and headwear.
- Repairs less extensive damage.
- Packs the final product for shipment.
Embroidery Machine Operator – Level 2
An Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for main line production activities using multi head sewing machines to create quality product swiftly and accurately, while working safely.
- Interprets work orders paying close attention to all details to ensure caps and logos are accurate to size, color, and placement of artwork.
- Hoops hats repetitively (by hand or with pneumatic hooper) at hooping station and secures stable placement prior to machine operation.
- Ties on new thread when changing orders
- Matches all production paperwork with production tracking log
- Assists as needed in QC trimming finished product; assists Sample staff with any day-to-day orders that may need to be produced
- Performs routine housekeeping tasks in work area at least once per shift. This includes blowing thread and other debris from the machine as well as oiling the machine as instructed by schedule.
