Manager
The Pat Walker Health Center at the University of Arkansas,
Fayetteville campus is looking for an Information Technology (IT)
Manager to join our fabulous team. The Pat Walker Health Center
is an ambulatory care clinic and provides a wide range of
medical care and services for students, faculty, and staff.
The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree in
computer science, information technology or a related field form
an accredited institution of higher education and three years of
prior IT experience. The IT Manager will have a good
understanding of the Microsoft domain at an enterprise level and
possess experience maintaining and troubleshooting server
systems. The position oversees over 160 computers, SQL
servers, Microsoft servers, Web servers, vCenter and vSphere
environment and Linux servers. In addition to daily technology
oversight, this position participates and demonstrates leadership
in information technology strategic planning, systems
development and running specialized applications to serve
medical, counseling, and administrative functions. This position
requires the ability to work with a variety of health care and
mental health professionals and support staff as well as
administrators and it include the supervision of System
Specialist(s).
Interface with University Information Technology Services (UITS)
to maintain network access, antivirus protection, VPN
communications, router and firewall performances, and secure
private wireless network. This full-time, 12-month appointment
offers excellent fringe benefits including a generous
